Beauty Influencer – Affordable Lifestyle?

It’s official Fall Season and I was excited when the notification bell went off and I was informed Jackie Aina released a Fall Sweater Weather Glam Makeup Tutorial. I quickly jumped on YouTube and began to watch the video. As she started ranking off the makeup she was using, I soon began to question:

Can I afford every product she featured in her video? More importantly, could I afford becoming a Beauty Influencer?

For those of you that do not know, I just started blogging and have been considering starting a YouTube Channel. But I’ve continued to second guess myself: one because of nerves but more importantly the initial investment that comes with starting a channel. I want my channel to focus on Beauty, Fashion, and my Photography, of course! But from lighting, backdrops, edits, and products to get for the channel I realized quickly it is not a cheap dream.

Now don’t get me wrong, everything we do is an investment and if we want to grow we have to invest in ourselves but I realized why Influencers are so happy to receive PR. If they had to pay for everything they feature on their channel they probably couldn’t afford it. Just in this one video by Jackie Aina, the total price tag comes up to $469.00 + not including the cost of taxes and shipping!

Yes, I just said $469.00 for 16 items just for a Fall Glam Makeup Look!

Of course, you can use the products over period of time, but the initial price tag is dishearten for an up & coming artist. Will it stop me from my goals? NO! But this explains why I feature so much affordable makeup on my Blog and Social Media Platforms because I know my followers are everyday women who may not want to spend $469.00 on one makeup look! But if you are balling – I’ve included the products mentioned and would love to see your recreation of this look!
